Regression analysis of sorption data for evaluation of experimental uncertainties.

Master Thesis title: Regression analysis of sorption data for evaluation of experimental uncertainties.
Description:To describe natural processes, the data from laboratory experiments and field observations are fitted to various models. Different models are discriminated based on the agreement between model predictions and the data. To obtain correct model parameters and make sound conclusions about their uncertainties the analytical and sampling error have to be rigorously taken into account. In this project you will apply regression analysis to a large dataset of laboratory sorption data in order to evaluate sorption parameters of cations on clay minerals and the model uncertainties. You will learn about thermodynamic sorption modelling and different regression analysis tools. The obtained skills on data/uncertainty analysis are indispensable for a standard evaluation of geological data.
