The finds of primates are not as frequent in the fossil record; however, their fossil record can provide valuable information about their habitats as well as eventual palaeobiogeographic dispersals i.e. links. In the framework of this project, a few so far available fragments of cercopithecid remains from the Mio-Pliocene deposits of Moldova will be studied. The project will include virtual segmentation of the remains, their anatomic and morphological description as well as their taxonomic identification based on extended morphological comparison. Among the description and taxonomic identification, the study will aim to compare and link with primate remains from closeby areas.
