FORMAT:On-site teaching, machine training and independent lab. work in small groups (max. 3 students per group)
FREQUENCY:annually in spring semester
CONTENTS:- Preparation of single-crystals for X-ray analysis. - Determination of unit cell and symmetry using X-ray single-crystal methods - Single-crystal X-ray intensity collection Introduction into crystal structure solution and refinement. Learning Outcome: Abilty to mount single crystals for X-ray structural analysis; independent operation of a single-crystal diffractometer; basic knowledge in solving and refining a crystal structure from X-ray diffraction data.
ASSESSMENT:Practical test (50%) and report (50%)
