| SCOPE: | The seminar covers specific topics from recent developments in climatological and glaciological research, as well as impacts on society and environment. At the end of the seminar the students shall be able to read, comprehend and present scientific literature to an audience, apply the acquired knowledge to specific problems and summarise the outcome in a concise manner. |

| CONTENTS: | The seminar will include specific topics from glaciology and mountain research as well as discuss current events concerning meteorology, hydrology and natural hazards. This may include the current state of cryospheric components. In this seminar the students have to read one or two papers and present and discuss them during the seminar. All participants have always to read all the selected papers in advance and have to be prepared for the discussion during the seminar. (changing topics from year to year) |
