Students are allowed to organize internships at their own discretion, but must receive formal approval in all cases in advance (i.e., prior to commencing the internship) from one of the course organizers. Proposals will be judged in regards to educational merit, time investment, its relevance to ELE, and its demonstrable independence from the student's masters thesis. The typical internship will last at least two weeks. To receive credit students will need to provide a formal confirmation of attendance from the institution granting the internship and a short written report to be approved by the supervising course organizer.
